On my computer it takes a long time to start the ebook and/or it seems, that the program locks up. Why? What can I do?

The pdf-file is very large (60 MB). So it takes a while to load completely. Please be patient while it is loading.
It loads faster if you start the file directly from the CD. Go to the folder "content" of the CD-ROM. Then choose "ebook/atlas.pdf".
